Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is creating new opportunities for second language learning through personalized,
interactive, and multimedia-based educational experiences. This study explores the potential role of AIgenerated videos in second language acquisition, focusing on personalized learning, pronunciation
development, and learner engagement. AI-generated videos can integrate spoken language, subtitles, visual
demonstrations, contextual examples, and adjustable instructional content to support learners with different
language proficiency levels and educational needs. These features may help learners improve vocabulary
recognition, listening comprehension, pronunciation awareness, and confidence in language use. This study
adopts a literature-based research approach to examine recent developments in AI-assisted language education
and video-based learning. Recent scholarly reviews indicate that generative AI has expanded opportunities for
individualized feedback, adaptive practice, and interactive language learning, although speaking and listening
have received less research attention than writing. The study also considers challenges associated with AIgenerated videos, including inaccurate pronunciation, unnatural speech, misleading subtitles, unequal access to
technology, and excessive dependence on automated learning tools. The findings from the reviewed literature
suggest that AI-generated videos have promising educational potential; however, their specific effects on longterm pronunciation improvement and sustained learner engagement require further empirical investigation. The
study emphasizes the importance of combining AI-generated video resources with teacher guidance, authentic
communication, and evidence-based instructional strategies. It contributes to the discussion of emerging
technologies in second language education and provides directions for developing effective, accessible, and
learner-centered video-based learning environments
