Author Rights • Licensing • Research Accessibility
Academic Canvas aims to support responsible scholarly communication, academic integrity, and the dissemination of research. Its copyright and access arrangements should clearly explain the rights of authors, the permissions granted to the journal, and the conditions under which published material may be accessed, shared, or reused. The terms below should be applied in accordance with the journal's officially adopted policies.
Authors should be informed clearly whether they retain copyright in their published work and what publication rights they grant to Academic Canvas. Authors should review the journal's applicable publication agreement before submitting or publishing an article. Any rights to reuse, reproduce, distribute, or archive an article are governed by the journal's confirmed copyright and licensing terms.
The journal should state its access model and the license applicable to published articles. Where open access is provided, readers should be able to consult the stated terms governing access, sharing, redistribution, and reuse. A specific Creative Commons license, including CC BY 4.0, should be displayed only after its adoption by the journal has been confirmed.
Readers and researchers should respect the copyright and license terms attached to each article. When quoting, citing, or referring to published research, users should provide accurate bibliographic details and acknowledge the original author or source.
Authors should consult the journal's confirmed archiving policy before depositing accepted manuscripts or published versions in institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic platforms. Any applicable conditions concerning manuscript versions, attribution, embargo periods, and links to the published article should be followed.
Copyright compliance, proper attribution, and respect for intellectual property are essential to scholarly publishing. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce third-party material when required and for ensuring that submitted work complies with applicable ethical and publication requirements.
Policy clarification: Before publication, Academic Canvas should confirm its exact copyright ownership arrangement, open access model, applicable reuse license, and self-archiving conditions. This page should be updated to reflect the journal's formally approved policies rather than being treated as confirmation of any unverified license or permission.
