Digital platforms have become important spaces in which cultural identities are expressed, negotiated, and encountered across geographical boundaries. They enable communities to share languages, heritage, creative work, and lived experience, yet they can also reproduce unequal visibility, misinformation, stereotyping, and exclusion. This narrative review examines cultural diversity in digital environments through an interdisciplinary lens drawing on cultural studies, communication, education, sociology, and digital governance. It synthesizes recent international guidance and research on platform governance, intercultural dialogue, and linguistic diversity. The review identifies four connected dimensions: representation and discoverability, intercultural competence, platform design and governance, and access to meaningful participation. It argues that inclusive digital culture requires more than the presence of diverse content; communities also need the ability to create, find, interpret, and contest that content safely and fairly. The article proposes a practical framework for cultural institutions, educators, researchers, and platform stakeholders that combines multilingual support, transparent moderation, community participation, media literacy, and evaluation of representation outcomes. Because the article is a narrative synthesis, it does not report new fieldwork or original quantitative findings. The framework should be tested across cultural and linguistic contexts before being treated as a validated model.
