Abstract

The development of augmented reality, motion capture, and interactive visual technologies is reshaping theatrical performance. This study examines how motion-capture systems can connect performers' physical movements with digitally generated environments and characters. It explores the possibilities of creating immersive theatrical experiences in which visual elements respond dynamically to actors and audience members. The research considers the artistic potential of integrating real-time motion data with augmented and mixed-reality environments. It further discusses challenges involving technological accessibility, performer training, production costs, and the preservation of narrative coherence. The study argues that immersive motion-based theatre represents an emerging interdisciplinary field in which dramatic performance, digital media, and interactive technology converge.
