Abstract

Sahih Ibn Hibban is a comprehensive and important book of hadith.Sahih Ibn Hibban's status as a source is as authentic and reliable as hadith books compared to seerah books. Sahih Ibn Hibban, besides being a massive book of hadith, is also an authentic source of the Prophet's biography. The narrations in Sahih Ibn Hibban about the Prophet's biography are more reliable than the historical books of seerah. Deriving and deducing the Prophet's biography from authentic Ibn Hibban's narrations is a great addition to the discussions on biography.The article collects the authentic traditions of Ibn Hibban on the biography. The traditions of the biography have been reviewed according to the principles of the hadith scholars. In biography writing, the hadith-style approach is more reliable and authentic than the historical style.
