Abstract

Leadership plays a fundamental role in the success stability and development of any organization, however, in the present era, institutional leadership faces a number of complex challenges, including lack of leadership insight, weakness in decision-making, lack of mutual trust, communication problems, conflict of interest, avoidance of accountability, employee discouragement and distance from ethical values. In such situations, the biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him) provides a comprehensive, balanced and practical model for leadership, in which ethics, justice, consultation, trust, honesty, responsibility, tolerance, insight, transparency, human respect and service to humanity have a fundamental position. In the present paper, an analytical study of the basic principles of leadership contained in the biography of the Prophet (peace be upon him) will be conducted to assess to what extent these principles can provide effective guidance in solving the problems of current institutional leadership. In particular, the Prophet’s consultative leadership style, decision-making style, fair distribution of responsibilities, recognition of individual capabilities, wise management of differences of opinion, crisis management strategies, and building human relationships will be discussed in a contemporary institutional context. The research will identify the salient features of prophetic leadership in the light of authentic events and primary sources from the Prophet’s biography and compare them with the management and leadership issues facing current institutions. This study will attempt to clarify that the prophetic principles of leadership are not just historical events or religious teachings, but are also workable management and ethical guidelines for contemporary institutions. In light of the research findings, a leadership concept will be presented that promotes trust, character, human dignity, collective responsibility, and sustainable development along with institutional performance. Thus, the Prophet’s biography provides a comprehensive leadership model for addressing the challenges of current institutional leadership and promoting effective, ethical, and human-centered leadership
