Abstract

This study examines the impact of Islamic religiosity on life contentment in the context of Pakistan, where religion significantly shapes individual values, behaviors, and coping mechanisms. Islamic religiosity is understood as a multidimensional construct that includes beliefs, practices, and spiritual experiences influencing daily life. The research adopts a qualitative case study approach to explore how adherence to Islamic teachings contributes to individuals’ sense of satisfaction and well-being. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with participants from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, focusing on their engagement in religious practices such as Salah (prayer), Sawm (fasting), and reliance on Allah (Tawakkul). The findings reveal a strong positive relationship between Islamic religiosity and life contentment. Participants with higher levels of religious commitment reported greater emotional stability, inner peace, and resilience in facing life challenges. The study concludes that Islamic religiosity functions as an essential psychosocial resource that promotes life contentment in Pakistani society. It emphasizes the importance of incorporating spiritual dimensions into social work practice, mental health interventions, and policy development to ensure holistic well-being.
