This research article presents a Thematical analysis of the reflections of the Sirah-e-Mustafa in the ghazals of Maulana Jalal al-Din Rumi. Although some scholarly work already exists on Sirat-e-Nabavi within the Masnavi-yi Ma‘navi, this dimension of the Diwan-e-Shams has largely remained unexplored. Seeking to address this research gap, the present study examines various aspects of the Prophet’s life as represented in Rumi’s ghazals. Selected verses are systematically classified according to the chronological sequence of major events of the Sirah and are analyzed intellectually under themes such as Zuhur-e-Qudsi, Munakahat-e-Awwal, Tansib-e-Hajr-e-Aswad, Khalwat-Guzini-e-Ghar-e-Hira, Mab‘ath-e-Mubarakah, Shan-e-Ummiyyat, I‘lan-e-Tabligh, Shaqq-ul-Qamar, Mi‘raj-un-Nabi, Hijrat-e-Madinah, Tahwil-e-Qiblah, Ghazwah-e-Badr, Fath-e-Makkah, and Visal-e-Ba-Kamal. Alongside these events, the study also sheds light on Sifat-e-Khuluqiyyah of Mustafa Karim, his Shan-e-Rahmat-ul-lil-‘Alamin, and Shan-e-Shafa‘at, as reflected through selected ghazals of Rumi. In this way, the study seeks to move beyond the conventional critical and analytical frameworks of Sirah studies and the ghazal genre, and endeavors to open new avenues for scholarly exploration
