Deep human feelings, inner experiences, and emotional struggles have always been the main source of creating art. To share these intense inner emotions with others, the fiction has always proven to be the most effective medium. The history of modern Persian fiction changed the traditional way of thinking and started a new era of social and psychological realism. In this landscape of Persian fiction, Bozorg Alavi emerged as a brilliant creator who shaped his life events, the bitterness of political imprisonment, and the ups and downs of his married life into art. This article covers different aspects of Bozorg Alavi’s life, focusing on his valuable teaching career at Humboldt University in Germany, his leadership of the Persian Studies, and literary contributions.
