Abstract

Allah Almighty sent the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) along with the religion of Islam to guide the whole humanity. In order to help in the propagation of the religion of Islam, Allah Almighty gave him a group of people who attained the pinnacle of the noble qualities of divinity, sincerity, piety, asceticism, sacrifice and trustworthiness, i.e. the Jamaat of the Companions (﷡). The entire history of mankind after the Prophets (علیہم السلام) is unable to give an example of this group who have been mentioned with good characteristics in the previous books even.

This pure, trustworthy and authentic group of Companions has fulfilled the right to convey the teachings of Islam from the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) to the entire Ummah with trust, honesty and truthfulness. Along with these teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah, the sayings and the relics of this pious Jama'at are also an authentic source of guidance for the Ummah.

In the present time, where the human world has become a global village due to the ubiquity and abundance of print and electronic media, the anti-religious forces are constantly engaged in misleading the new generation of the Ummah with innovation and skill. On the other hand, the modern generation is now seeking logic and reality. Now it is the need of the hour that this new generation should go through literature, devotion and emotions to explain his point of view and be satisfied and convinced with arguments of materialism and utility, otherwise the day is not far when the religion of Islam will become same like as Judaism and Christianity, and will become a theoretical and biblical religion and will be confined to the houses of worships. In this context, it is very important to present the importance and utility of the Companions in the religion of Islam to the new generation with the arguments of reality.

Now the time has come to convince the modern minds of the Ummah that the Companions were not a mythical class, but they were the embodiment of knowledge, action, truth and trust. Their knowledge, jurisprudence and culture were unparalleled. Their words and deeds are a proof and guidance for the Ummah, and studying their character and following their teachings is the best solution to the intractable problems of the present time. In this regard, the jurisprudential and exegetical aspect of the Companions is undoubtedly of great importance, on which the study and research in modern lines is certainly an important religious, spiritual and ideological necessity of the present and modern generation.

In view of this topic, this article is a glimpse of how to solve contemporary problems in the light of the fatwas and the relics of the Companions.
