This paper presents an analytical study of the cultural elements found in Aab-e-Gum by Mushtaq Ahmad Yousufi. The objective of the study is to explore how Yousufi, through his distinctive humorous style, preserves the cultural and civilizational heritage of the Indian subcontinent. The research employs an analytical and descriptive approach, supported by dictionaries, reference books, and other scholarly sources. The study reveals that Aab-e-Gum contains a rich portrayal of traditional clothing, medicine, music, religious terminology, flora and fauna, food, customs, and various aspects of everyday life. Yousufi also records numerous words, objects, and traditions that have become rare or are on the verge of disappearing. The study concludes that Aab-e-Gum is not merely a masterpiece of humorous prose but also an important document of the cultural heritage of the subcontinent.
